Text Box:
Tamra is a career music educator who holds a B.A. in music with emphases in both vocal performance and music education from Linfield College . She also earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology with emphases in Play Therapy and School Counseling from George Fox University.
Tamra is also an Adjunct Professor of Education at Willamette University, teaching Music Methods in the Elementary Classroom to MAT (Master of Arts in Teaching) students.
Tamra has an extensive background in music performance and education. She has had many amateur and professional singing opportunities including studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London , singing with the Portland Opera Chorus and Willamette Master Chorus and touring with choral groups both stateside and internationally. She has been a professional vocalist for over 15 years, but is quick to add that she doesn't sing like an opera diva in class.
Tamra was granted the opportunity to offer voice lessons, on a professional basis, as early as her sophomore year of college, whetting her appetite for teaching.  She received her teaching credential in 1991 and taught elementary school music for several years in both public and private schools before earning her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology in 1998. Tamra has taught music for children of every age from newborns to high school students and has recently been involved with teaching a multigenerational Kindermusik Village with Seniors class - bringing together babies with their caregivers and senior citizens. She has been invited to be a peer presenter on the topic of creative classroom discipline at the Kindermusik Educators Association International Conference.
Tamra was attracted to Kindermusik because of the unusual combination of high quality music and whole–child development found across the Kindermusik curricula. She feels that Kindermusik is a blend of all her fields of expertise - music, education and play therapy. She has been teaching Kindermusik classes since 1999. Teaching Kindermusik gives Tamra a chance to share her love of music with children and still devote most of her time to her own young (and adorable) family.

A personal message from Tamra:
"Now more than ever. . . Let a Kindermusik class be a refuge for you and your child to escape the raging world around us. You will learn new ways to play, interact with and understand your little one. You will gain a vast repertoire of songs to comfort your child and soothe your own soul. You will build relationships with other parents who understand where you are. The love between you and your child can only grow as you spend these special moments together. Leave the world at the door and come play with us!"

Text Box: Lizbeth is a graduate of  Willamette University’s outstanding Music Therapy program. While at Willamette  her studies included voice, piano, ear training and sight-singing, music theory and a host of music therapy classes. She also holds music therapy board certification which requires rigorous testing and continuing education in addition to her degree and experience.
Lizbeth also received specific training in music therapy with special populations including the elderly, children with special needs and hospitalized patients. Lizbeth completed her training with an internship at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio which is renowned for its outstanding music therapy program. While in Cleveland , she facilitated the lively and educational Toddler Rock program at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame.
Lizbeth has raised four children of her own and has two grandchildren. She brings the unique perspective to her classes that only one who has brought children through all stages of development can, while not forgetting the challenges of these early years. She was a stay-at-home mom for the duration of her children's upbringing.
Lizbeth works as a music therapist at Doernbecher Children's Hospital and Emanuel  Children's Hospital in Portland as well as with elderly patients with Altzheimer's and related dementia in nursing homes. She is exceptionally qualified to bridge the gap between generations through music and does so creatively and with genuine respect for the musical needs of all ages.
In her spare time Lizbeth sings with the alto section of the Willamette Master Chorus which is becoming known as the premiere auditioned chorus in the mid-valley. Lizbeth was drawn to Kindermusik by the opportunity to integrate her music therapy skills within an educational setting with parental involvement. She has been impressed with the quality of the materials and music of Kindermusik.
